THIS AUDIO CD BLINDSIGHT features poems written and performed by Ricardo Sternberg. In the tradition of the great magic realists, Sternberg weaves a world from everyday wonders - a tango musician takes flight, a man falls in love with the figurehead of a ship, constellations make love in the sky. As boundaries become fluid we see into the life of things, the crow and the scarecrow, the mermaid and the madwoman. Sternberg has the ear of a poet and the eye of a painter. Most of all, he is blessed with a storyteller's tongue. Ricardo Sternberg was born in Rio de Janeiro. His work has appeared in Saturday Night, Poetry (Chicago), The Paris Review, Descant & The Antigonish Review.
